个人详细介绍

■ 个人简介:
  彭世球,博士,研究员,博士生导师,中国科学院海外杰出人才“百人计划”入选者。2004年美国佛罗里达州立大学博士毕业,2004-2009先后任北卡罗莱纳州立大学博士后副研究员、研究助理教授。主要从事海气相互作用、海洋和大气数值模拟及资料同化、中尺度动力过程及物理参数化等领域的研究工作,尤其是在“四维变分同法方法”(4DVAR)及共扼伴随技术领域有独特专长和造诣,在中尺度天气过程及近海风暴潮的模拟与预报等方面取得了令国际同行瞩目的成果。曾发展了著名的普林斯顿海洋模式(POM)的三维切线模式与伴随模式,受到普林斯顿大学著名海洋学家L.Oey的高度评价, 并受邀请将模式在普林斯顿大学的网页上公开发布。发表SCI论文多篇,其中先后有两篇论文被评为著名海洋期刊“Ocean Modeling ”季度最热门的25篇论文的第1名及第13名。主持国家自然科学资金面向项目1项、中科院重要方向项目1项,参加973、863项目多项。曾多次受邀参加国际国内学术会议,并在大会上做专题报告。目前是美国地理学会(AGU)会员,并应邀担任《Monthly Weather Review》、《Journal of Geophysical Research》等国际著名期刊的独立审稿人。
