  吴梅林,男,研究员,就职于中国科学院南海海洋研究所。分别于2001年7月、2005年7月毕业于中南大学,并获工学学士、硕士学位。2008年7月毕业于中国科学院南海海洋研究所,获博士学位。目前主持国家自然科学基金2项、全球变化与海气相互作用印度洋科考海洋化学内容、海南省自然科学基金、中国科学院南海海洋研究所青年人才领域前沿项目、国家海洋局近岸海域生态环境重点实验室开放基金和国家海洋局海洋-大气化学与全球变化重点实验室开放基金、担任2013年国家基金南海北部夏秋季节综合考察实验研究首席科学家;参加国家自然基金项目、中科院院创新项目以及国家908“ST08区块水体环境调查与研究”等。多次参加南海北部科学考察航次、印度洋海洋调查航次以及组织实施大亚湾、珠江口海域考察航次等,积累了丰富的海洋科学考察和科学研究经验。目前主要关注人类活动和自然变化对南海北部及其近海大亚湾、珠江口以及三亚湾的生态与环境的影响,取得重要的创新性成果。取得重要的创新性成果,发表论文60多篇,其中在Scientific Reports、Marine pollution bulletin、Journal of Marine Systems、Estuarine, Coastal and Shelf Science、Journal of Environmental Management等期刊发表SCI论文40余篇,其中第一作者或通信作者20余篇,引用300余次,研究成果被"Nature China"("自然中国")选择为亮点论文以及2011年国际埃尼奖(Eni Award 2011)提名;获得2015年广州市科学技术进步一等奖(排名5/10)。担任Open Journal of Oceanography和American Journal of Biological and Environmental Statistics编委。
