博士，研究员，物理海洋学专业；研究方向涉及海洋环流与气候变化、海洋中尺度涡、区域海洋模式系统、台风、海气交换等领域。于兰州大学获得学士、硕士和博士，之后在青岛海洋大学做博士后。曾在空军后勤学院任教。分别于2008年和2011年赴美国加州大学洛杉矶分校做访问学者；2006-2009年浙江海洋学院任兼职教授、院长。中国海洋学会海气相互作用专业委员会委员、中国气象学会气候学专业委员会委员。承担过国家自然科学基金、国家973计划、中国科学院知识创新工程重大项目等10余项。《Chinese Physics Letters》、《Advances in Atmospheric Sciences》、《Acta Oceanologica Sinica》、《Journal of Ocean University of China》、《海洋学报》、《热带海洋学报》等学术刊物的评审。发表学术论文30余篇，合译著1部。
