谢强，1971年生，博士，研究员，博士生导师，曾在美国做访问研究。主要学术研究包括：南海海面风场季节变化与年际变化和南海夏季越南沿岸上升流动力学及其在区域气候变化中的地位等。2001年获（海洋局）首届海洋科技创新成果二等奖（排名第7）,2007年获广东省科学技术一等奖（排名第10），发表学术论文40余篇，目前主持国家自然科学基金等国家项目。
