研究员
通过分析观测数据与开展气候模式数值试验，探讨热带洋际相互作用的物理过程及其对全球气候系统内部变率与长期气候变化趋势的影响。主要研究成果包括：发现印度洋偶极子（IOD）可以通过“大气桥”激发大西洋尼诺；提出中部型、东部型两类大西洋尼诺，并探讨了它们对ENSO影响的显著区别；提出全球变暖背景下印度洋对太平洋增暖的抑制作用，即“跨洋恒温器效应”。
主要研究方向为“热带大尺度海气相互作用”，重点关注“热带洋际相互作用的物理过程及其气候效应”。在Science Advances、Nature Communications、Nature Geoscience等学科主流期刊发表论文50余篇。多项成果入选美国地球物理协会（AGU） Research Highlight。主持国家青年人才项目。担任国际期刊Geophysical Research Letters与Journal of Climate副主编。
